Landry Garrison is a passionate writer and aspiring filmmaker. Her creative journey began in childhood, crafting stories in handwritten journals, a practice that shaped her love for storytelling. Her dream is to create imaginative stories with characters that resonate deeply with audiences, reminiscent of the short stories she crafted as a child.
Currently, Landry focuses on writing short stories and experimenting with filmmaking using a camcorder to explore different formats. She particularly enjoys capturing horror elements while blending multiple genres in her work.
Landry’s artistic mission is to approach life with the same curiosity and imagination she embraced as a child, translating those emotions into film and writing. She teaches film curriculum at the Austin nonprofit Creative Action and works as a freelance Production Assistant on local film sets. Her creative inspiration comes from collage work, discovering music, new books, and frequent trips to the movie theater.
Her ongoing goals include honing her filmmaking and writing, capturing the world around her, and continuing to experiment with the tools at her disposal.
